Leasing News: TÜV Rheinland moves into WORKHUB

The Campus am Jungfernsee in northern Potsdam has secured another new tenant: TÜV Rheinland has chosen approximately 580 square metres of office space in WORKHUB 1. The company is scheduled to move in during the first quarter of 2027.

Strengthening the campus as a hub for innovation

TÜV Rheinland, one of the world’s leading testing and certification service providers, is joining the Campus am Jungfernsee. Operating across a wide range of industries, the company supports technological and digital innovation, further strengthening the campus’s profile as a hub for innovation. The campus is already home to the SAP Innovation Lab, online bag retailer Wardow and a number of prominent IT companies. WORKHUB itself also accommodates two private universities and businesses from a wide variety of sectors – all innovation-driven and part of a vibrant network at the location.

Contemporary workplaces with a distinctive architectural identity

With their futuristic appearance, WORKHUB I & II feature a minimalist industrial design, expansive glass façades, abundant natural light and an impressive atrium that serves as a central meeting place. The buildings were designed by Bollinger + Fehlig Architekten GmbH. The atrium brings together not only WORKHUB tenants, but the wider campus community through regular networking events, including after-work parties and exclusive trend panels such as the Couch Collective.

Open-plan layout wins over the project team

According to the TÜV Rheinland project team, several factors were decisive in choosing the location and the space at WORKHUB: contemporary premises finished to a high standard, an open-plan layout that can be flexibly adapted to the company’s own New Work concept, and the location’s excellent accessibility.

Giulia Berger, Asset Manager at Berlin Income One, welcomes the new tenant and explains what companies are looking for when leasing office space today:

Potsdam as a location of choice

For many companies, Potsdam is no longer an alternative to Berlin, but a deliberate location choice – offering convenient connections to the capital and close proximity to leading scientific and research institutions. The continued development of the surrounding area, including the new Krampnitz urban district and the neighbouring secondary school currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2027, further underlines the location’s long-term appeal.
