The Light and Dark Side of AI: Couch Collective Satellite at OCTO IT | Q-FOX®
Premiere at Campus am Jungfernsee: The First Satellite Edition of Our Networking Platform
On 1 October 2026, The Couch Collective left its own couch for the very first time. For the first edition of COUCH COLLECTIVE SATELLITE, we were guests of OCTO IT, a company of the Q-FOX® Group based right here on our campus at Konrad-Zuse-Ring.
The topic could hardly have been more timely. The recent cyberattack on Berlin’s public administration showed just how vulnerable digital structures are. At the same time, artificial intelligence opens up enormous opportunities for businesses and public institutions. Under the title “Between Opportunity and Risk: The Light and Dark Side of AI”, two experts from the Q-FOX® Group explored both sides:
Tim Rohrwasser, Chief Digital Officer (AI-FOX®), showed how AI accelerates processes, transforms business models and is put to concrete use in everyday business.
Patrick Antoun, Member of the Executive Board (CYBER FOX®), spoke about the new attack surfaces created by AI. He also showed how companies can keep innovating without compromising their security and digital resilience.
Drawing on use cases from their daily work in data protection, one thing quickly became clear: AI has a light side and a dark side, and anyone who wants to use it wisely needs to understand both. Guests joined the discussion with plenty of questions and their own experiences.
A strong partner on campus.
The owner-managed Q-FOX® Group combines more than 30 years of experience and over 430 employees with strategic IT consulting, secure IT operations, its own data centres, cloud solutions, AI and specialised cybersecurity. For Potsdam, a growing hub for digital innovation and science, that is exciting expertise right on our doorstep.
Why Satellite?
At WORKHUB, a real campus feeling matters to us. That means supporting one another and moving things forward together. With the Satellite format, The Couch Collective goes where the expertise lives: to selected partners on campus. This brings fresh perspectives, new formats and room for in-depth exchange.
With perfect weather and views over Lake Jungfernsee, the afternoon flowed into a long evening of conversation at the champagne reception.A big thank you to the entire team at the Q-FOX® Group and OCTO IT, to our speakers Tim Rohrwasser and Patrick Antoun, and to all our guests.
